How to change your address on Social Security Administration

To change your address on Social Security Administration: sign in, open the address settings page linked below, replace your old mailing (and billing) address, and save. It takes about five minutes once you’re signed in.

Go straight to the address settings: https://www.ssa.gov/myaccount/

  1. Sign in to your my Social Security account at ssa.gov/myaccount.
  2. Open the Contact Information or Address section and enter your new address.
  3. Save; if you receive benefits, confirm your payment method is still correct.
