How to change your address on Aidvantage

To change your address on Aidvantage: sign in, open the address settings page linked below, replace your old mailing (and billing) address, and save. It takes about five minutes once you’re signed in.

The short version

Go straight to the address settings: https://aidvantage.studentaid.gov/

  1. Sign in to your Aidvantage account at myaccount.aidvantage.studentaid.gov using your user ID and password.
  2. Open your profile or contact information section, where you can update your mailing address, email, and phone number.
  3. Enter your new address and save the changes to update your account.
  4. Alternatively, call the automated phone system at 800-722-1300 and say you want to update your contact information to change your mailing address without an agent.

One Aidvantage gotcha: You'll need your Social Security number or your 10-digit Aidvantage account number (found on statements or on your online profile page) to verify your identity before making changes.

  • Loan servicers mail statements, escrow analyses, and tax forms (1098/1098-E) to the address on file — stale mail here can hide a missed payment.
  • If you sold the old home, update the servicer even after payoff: final escrow refunds usually arrive as paper checks.
