How to change your address on Aidvantage
Sign in to Aidvantage, open the profile or contact section, replace your mailing address and save.
Steps
- Sign in to your Aidvantage account at myaccount.aidvantage.studentaid.gov using your user ID and password.
- Open your profile or contact information section, where you can update your mailing address, email, and phone number.
- Enter your new address and save the changes to update your account.
- Alternatively, call the automated phone system at 800-722-1300 and say you want to update your contact information to change your mailing address without an agent.
One Aidvantage gotcha. You'll need your Social Security number or your 10-digit Aidvantage account number (found on statements or on your online profile page) to verify your identity before making changes.

Worth knowing for loans & mortgages accounts
- Loan servicers mail statements, escrow analyses, and tax forms (1098/1098-E) to the address on file. Stale mail here can hide a missed payment.
- If you sold the old home, update the servicer even after payoff: final escrow refunds usually arrive as paper checks.
