How to change your address on Sallie Mae

Sign in to Sallie Mae, open the profile or contact section, replace your mailing address and save.

Steps

  1. Sign in to your Sallie Mae account at salliemae.com.
  2. Click the Profile icon and choose My profile.
  3. Select Edit address to update your mailing address (or Edit contact information for email and phone).
  4. Enter your new details and click Save.

One Sallie Mae gotcha. Updating your address here only changes contact info—it won't update the name on your account, which requires mailing or uploading two accepted ID documents separately.

Worth knowing for loans & mortgages accounts

  • Loan servicers mail statements, escrow analyses, and tax forms (1098/1098-E) to the address on file. Stale mail here can hide a missed payment.
  • If you sold the old home, update the servicer even after payoff: final escrow refunds usually arrive as paper checks.
