How to change your address on Ally Bank
Sign in to Ally Bank, open the profile or contact section, replace your mailing address and save.
Steps
- Log in to your Ally Bank account online or through the Ally Mobile app
- On the website, go to Profile and Settings, then open Personal Information to edit your address; in the app, tap Profile, then View and edit contact information
- Save your updated address once entered
- If the account is a trust, custodial, or other fiduciary account, download and complete the Change of Address Form and submit it via the Secure Message Center, fax, or mail instead of updating online
One Ally Bank gotcha. Trust, custodial, and other fiduciary accounts can't be updated through the standard online or app profile settings — you must submit a separate paper Change of Address Form by fax or mail (or upload via Secure Message Center) for those account types.

Worth knowing for banking accounts
- Banks mail replacement cards, statements, and fraud alerts, so an old address here is a real security risk.
- Update the mailing address on each account, and check that paperless settings didn’t hide an old physical address.
