How to change your address on Progressive
Sign in to Progressive, open the profile or contact section, replace your mailing address and save.
Steps
- If you are staying in the same state, log in to your Progressive policy online or call 1-866-749-7436 to update your address.
- If you are moving to a different state, you need a new auto policy for that state, even if you stay with Progressive. Notify them with your move date and new address.
- Be ready to confirm where each vehicle is garaged overnight; Progressive may ask for proof such as a utility bill, license, paystub, or W-2.
One Progressive gotcha. An out-of-state move is not an address edit. Progressive cancels the old-state policy and issues a new one because coverage rules differ by state. Garaging ZIP also drives rating, so expect a rate change.
