How to change your address on USAA

To change your address on USAA: sign in, open the address settings page linked below, replace your old mailing (and billing) address, and save. It takes about five minutes once you’re signed in.

The short version

Go straight to the address settings: https://www.usaa.com/my/profile

  1. Log in to your USAA online account and go to the insurance management page
  2. Select the 'Update address' link to open the address change tool
  3. Enter your new mailing address and confirm any details tied to your auto or property policies
  4. Save the update and check your policy documents or ID cards to confirm the new address applied

One USAA gotcha: Changing your address here updates your USAA profile, but you may still need to review each individual auto, homeowners, or renters policy to make sure coverage and rates reflect your new location.

Worth knowing for insurance accounts

  • Your address is part of how insurers price your policy — auto and renters premiums change by ZIP code, and a stale address can jeopardize a claim.
  • Update before you need to file anything: claims adjusters check that the address matches the policy.
