How to change your address on Farmers Insurance

To change your address on Farmers Insurance: sign in, open the address settings page linked below, replace your old mailing (and billing) address, and save. It takes about five minutes once you’re signed in.

The short version

Go straight to the address settings: https://www.farmers.com/

  1. Log in to your account at Farmers.com using your username and password
  2. Locate the policy you want to update and choose the option to change your address (available for auto, home, and umbrella policies)
  3. Enter your new address details and submit the update through the online form
  4. If you have other policy types or the address option isn't available online, contact your Farmers agent or the Customer Care Center to request the change

One Farmers Insurance gotcha: Online address changes only work for auto, home, and umbrella policies — other policy types or certain state-specific restrictions require going through your agent or Farmers Customer Care instead of the website.

Worth knowing for insurance accounts

  • Your address is part of how insurers price your policy — auto and renters premiums change by ZIP code, and a stale address can jeopardize a claim.
  • Update before you need to file anything: claims adjusters check that the address matches the policy.
