How to change your address on Merrill

To change your address on Merrill: sign in, open the address settings page linked below, replace your old mailing (and billing) address, and save. It takes about five minutes once you’re signed in.

The short version

  1. Sign in to your Merrill account — the address settings live here: https://www.merrilledge.com/. You may need to re-verify with a code.
  2. Find the profile / contact / address section and replace your old address with the new one. Watch for separate mailing vs billing addresses — update both.
  3. Save, then check the confirmation. Some services email a security notice; that’s normal.

Worth knowing for investing accounts

  • Brokerages mail tax documents (1099s) to the address on file — a stale address means missing tax season paperwork.
  • Some address changes at brokerages trigger a short hold on outgoing transfers; do this early, not during a trade.
