How to change your address on Robinhood
Sign in to Robinhood, open the profile or contact section, replace your mailing address and save.
Steps
- Open the Robinhood app and tap the Account icon, then the menu (three lines) and choose Settings
- Tap Personal information, then Address
- Type in your new mailing address and confirm the save
- On the web version, go to Account > Settings > Address, enter the new details, and click Save
One Robinhood gotcha. Robinhood automatically mails a confirmation notice to your old address whenever you change it, and it may tweak formatting to match USPS standards — plus your new address won't retroactively appear on past statements or tax forms.

Worth knowing for investing accounts
- Brokerages mail tax documents (1099s) to the address on file. A stale address means missing tax season paperwork.
- Some address changes at brokerages trigger a short hold on outgoing transfers; do this early, not during a trade.
