How to change your address on Duke Energy

Moving? Duke Energy still has your old address until you tell it otherwise. Here’s the fastest path.

The short version

  1. Sign in to your Duke Energy account — the address settings live here: https://www.duke-energy.com/my-account/profile. You may need to re-verify with a code.
  2. Find the profile / contact / address section and replace your old address with the new one. Watch for separate mailing vs billing addresses — update both.
  3. Save, then check the confirmation. Some services email a security notice; that’s normal.

Worth knowing for utilities accounts

  • Utilities usually need a stop-service date at the old address and a start-service date at the new one — it’s two orders, not one edit.
  • Book this a week or two ahead; same-day starts often aren’t available.
Duke Energy is one account. The average mover has 15–40 more —Movepost finds yours from your email (headers only, it can’t read your messages), opens each site, and autofills your new address while you check them off.Find my accounts free →
