How to change your address on National Grid

To change your address on National Grid: sign in, open the address settings page linked below, replace your old mailing (and billing) address, and save. It takes about five minutes once you’re signed in.

Go straight to the address settings: https://www.nationalgridus.com/

  1. Go to the National Grid service page and pick your region (Massachusetts or New York), then choose the Transfer Service option to move your existing account to a new address.
  2. Sign in to your National Grid online account, then enter your new address details along with the requested move-out and move-in dates.
  3. Schedule your transfer at least 5-7 days ahead of your move so a crew can be assigned to turn service on or off as needed.
  4. Confirm the appointment and save the confirmation for your records.

One National Grid gotcha: National Grid may need to send a crew member to physically turn service on or off at the property, so book 5-7 days in advance rather than expecting an instant online switch.
