How to change your address on Florida Power & Light
To change your address on Florida Power & Light: sign in, open the address settings page linked below, replace your old mailing (and billing) address, and save. It takes about five minutes once you’re signed in.
The short version
Go straight to the address settings: https://www.fpl.com/
- Log in to your FPL online account and open the mailing address update tool from Account Settings.
- Choose whether you're updating the mailing address for a single account or region, then pick the address type.
- Select a start date for the new mailing address (you can also set a future start date and an optional end date for seasonal use).
- Enter and confirm your new mailing address, then submit — FPL processes online changes immediately and emails you a confirmation.
One Florida Power & Light gotcha: Changing your mailing address only affects where FPL sends bills and correspondence — it does NOT move or transfer your actual electric service; for that you need a separate 'transfer service' request if you're relocating within FPL's territory.

Worth knowing for utilities accounts
- Utilities usually need a stop-service date at the old address and a start-service date at the new one — it’s two orders, not one edit.
- Book this a week or two ahead; same-day starts often aren’t available.
