How to change your address on PSE&G

To change your address on PSE&G: sign in, open the address settings page linked below, replace your old mailing (and billing) address, and save. It takes about five minutes once you’re signed in.

The short version

Go straight to the address settings: https://www.pseg.com/

  1. Go to the PSE&G Start, Stop, or Transfer Service page and log in to My Account (or register first if you don't have an account).
  2. Choose the Transfer Service option, then enter your current PSE&G address where service should stop and the new address where you want service to start.
  3. Provide the dates you want to stop service at the old place and begin service at the new one, plus a mailing address for your final bill if needed.
  4. Submit the request and, if prompted, give a final meter reading by entering it online or uploading a photo of your meter.

One PSE&G gotcha: If your new address has an unpaid prior balance of $1,500 or more, you can't set up service online — you must visit a PSE&G Customer Service Center in person with a valid ID, proof of your previous address, and a lease, deed, or eviction notice.

Worth knowing for utilities accounts

  • Utilities usually need a stop-service date at the old address and a start-service date at the new one — it’s two orders, not one edit.
  • Book this a week or two ahead; same-day starts often aren’t available.
