How to change your address on PSE&G
Sign in to PSE&G, open the profile or contact section, replace your mailing address and save.
Steps
- Go to the PSE&G Start, Stop, or Transfer Service page and log in to My Account (or register first if you don't have an account).
- Choose the Transfer Service option, then enter your current PSE&G address where service should stop and the new address where you want service to start.
- Provide the dates you want to stop service at the old place and begin service at the new one, plus a mailing address for your final bill if needed.
- Submit the request and, if prompted, give a final meter reading by entering it online or uploading a photo of your meter.
One PSE&G gotcha. If your new address has an unpaid prior balance of $1,500 or more, you can't set up service online — you must visit a PSE&G Customer Service Center in person with a valid ID, proof of your previous address, and a lease, deed, or eviction notice.

Worth knowing for utilities accounts
- Utilities usually need a stop-service date at the old address and a start-service date at the new one. It’s two orders, not one edit.
- Book this a week or two ahead; same-day starts often aren’t available.
